Our Yard

I have really work hard on our yard this year. I started in early spring with planting a garden. The children helped alot with the planting. We had some pea plants that took a long time to come up due to the depth that the kids planted the seeds. My flowers are all looking beautiful, so I took some pictures.

New Swimming Pool !

The other day I finally caved in and bought the kids a swimming pool. It is 12 feet in diameter and about 36 inches deep. I don't fill it up all the way, so it really isn't that deep. Maycee absolutely loves it!! She would swim all day and all night if we let her. Meghan loves it too! Marshal has only swam once. It was a real pain to try to find a level spot in our backyard to set it up in. We ended up setting it up on the cement patio.

Maycee Loves to Swing

Monday night Jacey came over to play for awhile. Jaxon was already at our house. I think that he is my fourth child. Anyway, I thought what a great photo opportunity. I took alot of pictures although none of them turned out very well. Maycee was not excited about having to stay still, so I just kept taking pictures hoping that one would turn out well enough to make mom a big picture of it. The other kids got really, really bored as you can tell by the look on their faces.

Maycee and Her Umbrella

Last night while we were watering the lawn with the sprinkler Maycee went and found her umbrella. She had so much fun playing in the sprinkler with it.

Grandma Farm Turns 71 !!!

On June 11th Grandma Farm had her 71st birthday. Meghan made her a special cake. It was white with confetti sprinkles on the pink frosting. She added 10 candles to the top. Maycee would not leave it alone. She wanted to eat it, so we ended up taking it to Grandma and eating it before lunch.

Swimming at Sand Hollows

On Wednesday May 28th we went to St. George to see Sydney and to go swimming at Sand Hollows Aquatic Center. We took Jaxon and Grandma Mazz with us. Maycee loved the water, but she didn't want to go down the little froggie slide. Meghan and Jaxon had a lot of fun too. They waited until Marshal survived the big water slide, then they begged me to take them down it. After checking with a lifeguard about the depth of the water at the end of the slide, I decided to be brave and attempted to go down it with Meghan. We had fun, although we got going really fast and I was scared, Meghan was holding on to the slide with both her hands and her feet. When we hit the 3 feet deep water, we were fine!!! So, I decided to take Jaxon down. That was a mistake !! When we hit the water, my legs didn't touch the bottom of the pool and we went under water. Jaxon says that we almost drowned. It did take me a few seconds to stand up in the water. That's enough of the water slide for me!!!
