OUR CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE
We had so much fun on our Disneyland Vacation. We left Monroe on May 31st after church and traveled to Circus Circus in Las Vegas. The next morning we went to the M&M factory and the Coke Store. All of the kids went wild in the M&M factory and purchased $40 worth of M&M's. We spent what seemed like hours and hours waiting for Katie, Ryan and Jaxon to shop in the two stores. It was afternoon before we were able to drag them away and continue on our trip. We made a stop in Baker and then again in Barstow to shop at the factory outlets. Then we headed for Anahiem. Once we found our hotel, we headed for the Balboa Beach. It was awesome. We all had a lot of fun playing in the water and sand, finding seashells and gathering sand on our clothes. When we left Balboa, Terral took the long way to the hotel. All the way the kids were screaming in the backseat about having sand in their pants. I think that we took most of the beach back to the hotel with us. Mom was not too excited to see how sandy the van was! The following two days we spent at Disneyland and California Adventure having tons of fun. It took Maycee a little while to warm up to the rides. I should have been a little more selective on which ride to take her on first. She wasn't impressed with Pinnochio's Scary Adventure or The Pirates of the Carribbean. Before leaving California we had to go to the beach one more time. This time I was searching for tide pools, so we went down to Laguna Beach. Unfortunately we didn't get to see any ocean critters in pools because the tide was too high, but it was beautiful ! The drive home was horrid !!!! We drove straight through with only a few stops. I was finally able to drive from north of Cedar City to home. The mighty men were finally tired of driving. Needless to say, we arrived home around 11:00 p.m. on Thursday June 4th.

Disneyland... here we come!!!
On June 1st our family, my sister Katie's family and my mom are all heading to Disneyland ! In fifteen years of marriage we have never been able to be away from the farm for more that 24 hours. So, as you can imagine, I am very excited!!! Our kids have never been out of the state of Utah, so they are thrilled also. My mom is going to rent a really big van for all us. I think that it will be really fun.

LOLA DIED !!!
Easter morning a terrible thing happened. We found Lola, the parakeet, lifeless in the bottom of her cage . We aren't sure how she died, but we think that the fact that Marshal left the window open by Lola's cage might have something to do with the death. Meghan cried and cried and cried . She didn't want her ( the bird) to die. The next day we went to get a new bird. Her name is Kewei. She is so sweet . She is lime green with a hint of yellow. She also has stripes down her back. She is older than Lola was when we got her. We were worried about taming her, but so far she is doing great. Kewei (or Weewee as Maycee calls her) is enjoying her new cage as well. Meghan isn't spoiled or anything!!!
